Release Notes

This is a major bugfix and development update. Some of the 31.2.0 updates were actually in the 31.1.1 White Star release, due to my use of the master branch instead of release, to support Apple Silicon.

Legacy builds have been discontinued for now, since I am not sure there are any issues with the modern builds that are avoided by the legacy builds. If anyone still needs or wants them let me know and I'll bring them back.

That did the trick, for reference: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/White\ Star.app

But the window is still transparent for Ventura.

Interesting, I guess I need to figure out how to make it so that isn't necessary.

The good news is that if it is a blank window in Ventura on Apple Silicon too then I'll probably be able to fix it when I upgrade to Ventura on my M1.

Also something to try, start it up in safe mode...and if it starts up like that, try with hardware acceleration disabled: Preferences -> Advanced -> Use hardware acceleration when available.

Code:
/Applications/White\ Star.app/Contents/MacOS/whitestar -safe-mode

Has anyone running Ventura been able to test it in Safe Mode and see if it functions?

Just tried on my 2020 Intel iMac and no joy. Still the transparent window and unable to try Safe Mode as that window is transparent as well.

To start in safe mode you open the Terminal.app and start it from the command line:

Code:
/Applications/White\ Star.app/Contents/MacOS/whitestar -safe-mode
