Flash games
#1
I just learned of White Star and joined this forum to ask if your browser allows for Adobe Flash like Pale Moon for PC does.

And/or if there is anybody here willing to test whether a particular game will load because I don't have a mac but I'm starting a Discord server dedicated to the particular game, ie. Kongai at Kongregate.com.  A script would be required to load the game also found at https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/438325...ames-fixer.

I only have a Windows PC and Pale Moon has been the go to choice for successfully playing Kongai for me and other members on PC, but as a few members that joined the Discord have asked whether they can play on Mac and Linux I'm doing some research on their behalf.

And, if anybody likes the game or just wants to try it in any format, here's an invite link to my Discord server:  https://discord.gg/7WZ9kpaT2f

And, if White Star does not support Flash and likely never will, could I get some alternative suggestions for Mac browsers that would or might that I could investigate?

Thanks

It should still support the Flash plugin, but I have not had it installed for a long time now, and don't play Flash games so I can't verify it.

You are researching for the purpose of sending people to use White Star if they want to play Flash games on Mac?

Yes.  The game Kongai, as it is, requires Adobe Flash unfortunately.

I can try it out and see if it works at some point, if I can find an old copy of Flash...

I used one found at andkon.com and I see that another option was posted on our server for one found at archive.org but I haven't looked at that one yet.

I downloaded flash and installed it successfully. I tested flash on a few sites and it works in White Star. However, I was unable to get that game to play... On the site it plays an ad and then after the ad the box just goes black.

The discord link you posted doesn't work it says it is an invalid or expired link. You said I might need a script... I followed the link and downloaded the JS file but it isn't clear what I should do with it?

Sorry, I still hadn't and haven't figured out the invite function at Discord, but here is a new invite link that shows it should never expire and I'll replace the one at the top post also.

The script is required for some games because of the way Kongregate.com coded some games with how the API loads and as Kongai was developed by Kongregate, it happens to be one of those games that requires Flash The script requires a script manager, so you'd have to get greasemonkey probably and then load the script into the script manager.

The guide is written up at the discord though.

Looks like it works! Although that is a lot of effort to play this game. lol

Yes, it's a lot of extra effort unfortunately and why it'll be hard to attract players to play. But, the game itself is quite unique. Join the discord to arrange matches with me or anybody else there if want. The practice function is against a bot. I actually just posted a registration for a tournament.
