I am on MacOS 12.1 but MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) (i.e. Apple Silicon)

I do notice a strange short freeze when opening new tabs with Monterey version

And I have less/no such issue on normal version (mac64)

I know that it might be x64 > arm issue

Just reporting my founding

I have just discovered that the bookmarks manager does not work very well.  If I open the window and click on a folder on the left side, the folder does not open and no bookmarks appear in the right side.  Also, when bookmarking a page I was unable to get the bookmark to go into a specific folder.  It appeared at the bottom of the menu outside the folders.  I was able to drag it and drop it into a folder, but this is awkward.  I have not tried this with the Monterey version, but that one was so slow to open it was frustrating.

Update: I just tried it with this page open and it is working normally. I tried it before with this other page and bookmarks were not working:

What happened? Why should opening a certain web page cause problems with bookmarking?
